Dubai: With Dubai South rising in prominence as a property investment destination, Expo City Dubai has timed the launch of its next offplan project. It has released around 280 apartments and lofts as part of the ‘Al Waha’ collection.

These new releases ‘remodel Expo 2020’s country pavilions to create unique homes’, said the developer.

The one- and two-bedroom properties are named after the Al Waha shaded canopies that surround them. While the one-beds are priced from Dh1.71 million, the two-bedroom lofts start at Dh3.97 million, with the first units ready for hand over by end of 2026.

Investors also have the option to purchase entire buildings of 10-12 homes.

“This masterpiece in transformative design honours the promise of Expo 2020 to create an integrated, purposeful, people-centric community and set new standards in sustainable urban living,” said Ahmed Al Khatib, Chief Development and Delivery Officer, Expo City Dubai.

New masterplan gets to work

Under the masterplan that was announced last October, Expo City will eventually cover 3.5 square kilometers and feature 35,000 residents and 40,000 professionals working there.

"The city’s phased growth offers unrivalled opportunities for businesses, investors and residents looking to take advantage of its prime location and world-class connectivity," said a statement.

Expo City Dubai has already started construction on other residential developments such as the Mangrove, Sky and Sidr Residences.
