Mansour Bin Zayed briefed on Etihad Rail project

Project to have capacity of 50m tonnes of cargo and 16m passengers annually

Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, on Wednesday reviewed the strategic plan for the 1,200-km Etihad Rail project, which will be implemented at a total cost of Dh40 billion.

Shaikh Mansour was briefed by Shaikh Theyab Bin Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Etihad Rail’s Board of Directors, on the completed phases according to the implementation schedule and achievements accomplished so far. The project is set to have an estimated capacity of up to 50 million tons of cargo and 16 million passengers annually.
