GCC construction boom boosts interest in region’s lighting market

Dubai: The Gulf Cooperation Council’s (GCC) construction boom has attracted interest from international companies in the region’s lighting market, according to a statement on Sunday by Epoc Messe Frankfurt, the organiser of Light Middle East, a trade exhibition for lighting design and technology.

Around $128.4 billion (Dh471.2 billion) worth of construction projects are currently underway across the GCC this year, boosting demand for the commercial lighting fixtures sector, according to research by Ventures ME.

The 9th edition of the exhibition will attract over 250 exhibitors from 25 countries, and will run between November 3-5 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
