Etisalat to close three customerservice centres for two months

Etisalat has announced a two-month closure of three of its customer service centres from next January 3 at the Abu Shaghara Service Centre in Sharjah, the Al Bustan service centre in Ajman and the service centre in Umm Al Quwain.

Counter service and inquiries will continue to be available at the main Etisalat buildings in Sharjah and Ajman, and in Umm Al Quwain with the location of a temporary office structure next to the existing service centre. "Local customers in Sharjah who wish to make a telephone inquiry or who wish to receive directions to the Al Majaz Business Centre may call 06-5563111 or fax 06-556 7788.

"Similarly, Ajman customers can reach the main business office at 06-7400000 or fax 06-6740004," said Ali Al Sharid, the general manager for the West Coast region.

"The telephone and fax numbers for the temporary Umm Al Quwain office remain the same at 06-7656559 or 06-7650900."

Meanwhile Etisalat announced that the recently-launched SMS-based translation service has received an enthusiastic response from mobile users in the UAE.

Data shows that 2,500 messages were translated by mobile phone users on the first day the service was in operation.
