Indonesian state oil company Pertamina has restarted its 120,000 barrel-per-day (bpd) Dumai refinery after a three-week maintenance shutdown, a company official said yesterday.
"We have restarted the Dumai refinery today. The refinery is running fine so far," Pertamina processing director Suroso Atmormartoyo told Reuters.
He said it would be back to full utilisation by Monday.
Pertamina shut the Dumai refinery, in Riau province, on July 23.
Separately, another Pertamina official said the company expects lower oil products imports after Dumai returns to operation. Pertamina has said it plans to shut the 230,000 bpd crude distillation unit (CDU) at its Cilacap refinery complex on September 12 for about 21 days of maintenance.
Pertamina has two CDUs at Cilacap, located in Central Java.
The other has a capacity of 118,000 bpd.
