Adnoc Distribution to launch reformulated low sulfur diesel

Abu Dhabi: Adnoc Distribution is gearing up to launch a reformulated low-sulphur diesel product in the UAE market starting July 1, following the UAE Cabinet’s decision to standardise the specifications of diesel products as part of updated guidelines announced by Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology (ESMA).

The new diesel product contains 10 ppm of sulphur and will replace the existing product that contains 500 ppm. This reduction in sulphur levels will significantly reduce carbon emissions from vehicles and mandate vehicle users to install filters and accessories to reduce the discharge of exhaust gases.
