DP World announces third berth at London Gateway

Dubai: DP World said on Sunday it will build a third berth at its London Gate operations, located 40 kilometres from Central London. The UK’s Secretary of State for Transport, Member of Parliament Patrick McLoughlin, visited the port last week as part of the announcement, DP World said in a statement. DP World said contracts have been awarded to Volker Fitzpatrick for civil and electrical works and four new quay cranes have been ordered from ZPMC. The third berth is planned to be operational in the second half of 2016.
