Dubai: MENA’s largest education conference, GESS, is set to open from November 14 to 16 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The three-day conference will present latest insights on curriculum development, education-focused technology advancements and business opportunities in the sector. The seminar will also discuss opportunities and challenges in the Middle East’s education market.

Running alongside is an exhibition that will feature leading companies and brands offering education-focused products and solutions, providing a venue for businesses to connect with decision-makers from schools who are looking to acquire or upgrade their facilities.

At the EdTech in Action section, some of the featured speakers include Raya Bidshahri, founder and CEO, School of Humanity (Reimagining Online Learning Post-COVID-19), Brijesh Karia, Chief Operating Officer, Singhania Education (Change and Innovation Using Technology), and Xin Miao, Lead researcher of Alef Education (K-12 AI Education, Research and Development and Policy Governance).

The UAE education sector is looking at a CAGR of 2 per cent from 2021 to 2025, valued at Dh365 million – a growth that will largely be driven by increasing student enrolments as well as a growing focus toward privatisation in the education sector.
