A pioneering B2B event connecting major Korean food producing companies with key regional players is being held in Dubai. This event titled ‘K-Food Fair 2022’ is organized by The Department of Agriculture, aT Center from Korea.

The two-day event, which began today, is being held at the Samaya Ballroom, Ritz Carlton DIFC on the 8th and 9th of November. Approximately 30 healthy food producing companies from South Korea are meeting with several local distributors from the Middle East region.

The food fair held annually in the UAE aims to promote Korean food, popularly knows as K-Food among the residents of the region.

The Korea Agro-Fisheries and Food Trade Corp. (aT Center) is at the forefront of promoting K-food renowned for its rich flavour, available to the UAE and regional market by assisting distributors to import their food products.

The Korea Agro-Fisheries and Food Trade Corp. (aT Center) is at the forefront of promoting K-food renowned for its rich flavour, available to the UAE and regional market by assisting distributors to import their food products.

Korea Agro-Fisheries and Food Trade Corp. (aT Center) is a wholly government-invested enterprise responsible for agricultural marketing services and international trade since its incorporation in 1967. a-T Centre provides support services for the Korean agricultural industry through marketing activities and undertaking export agent functions for a large number of small- and medium-size agro-processors while also offering technical support for regional clients to import their food products.

a-T Center also provides various agricultural trade information to domestic exporters and foreign buyers. In order to support overseas market development, aT Center operates offices (Overseas Agro-Trade Center) in Dubai, Beijing, Shanghai, Qingdao, Chengdu, Dalian, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Bangkok, Paris, New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Osaka and Vladivostok.

Speaking at the event, Hyouk Kim, Director for Korean Agro Trade Center in Dubai said, “Koreans have been enjoying various Middle Eastern delicacies and we only think it is fair to do an exchange. This event was made in mind for the Middle Eastern consumers with the goal of sharing Korea’s rich flavors made by the traditional, modern, and future of Korea.”

It is also noteworthy that Korean packaged food, sought after around the world, especially by health-conscious working professionals who do not have the time for cooking and meal preparation, along with Korean fruits and vegetables are also a healthy option that provides consumers with all the necessary nutrients.

K-Food Fair 2022 introduced various types of Korean Food at the 2-day event. The traditional Kimchi and fermented sauces, processed foods that serve as a representative of simple food culture such as Ramyeon and dumplings, and vegan and super food products made with the earth and environment in mind were among the many other products showcased.
