Armed with Algonomy’s personalization suite, retailers in the MEA region, including Egypt’s high-end food retailer Gourmet Egypt are offering a more connected and personalized shopping experience to their customers.

In its latest partnership with Gourmet Egypt, Egypt’s premier high-end food retailer, Algonomy is deploying the personalization suite to help the high-end food retailer deliver a more connected and personalized shopping experience for Gourmet Egypt's customers across various touchpoints and digital buying journeys.

Algonomy’s platform helps businesses unify identities and leverage AI to personalize engagement across customer journeys at every touchpoint or channel. It captures zero-party data such as favorites, likes, survey data through the client’s mobile app, commerce site, and other systems in addition to first, second and third-party data. This helps Gourmet capture data in real-time to enrich its unified customer profile and get a 360-degree view which is then leveraged to hyper-personalize customer experience and make it contextually relevant. One of them is weather-based recommendations on the website or app. For example, on rainy days, the personalization engine pushes fresh soups and in summer, it recommends fresh juices to customers. The suite even has a feature where retailers can make specific time of the day-based offers to customers like breakfast offers or lunch promotions. Another interesting feature is tailoring recommendations to customers based on their location. The retailer can make suggestions that the customer’s favorite brand of cereal is available at an outlet close by.

Algonomy’s platform helps Gourmet Egypt personalize customer experience by individualizing the shopping experience. Based on customer affinities and purchase history, the home page will show products that the customer regularly purchases or has affinities for. It’ll surface relevant search results as the customer is typing the product or brand name by considering customer preferences. Emails will no longer have generic content but new products introductions and offers on products that are relevant to each individual customer.
