Al Fahim Group expands automotive portfolio with Roewe partnership

SAIC ranks 93rd on Fortune Global 500, cementing global auto industry status

Shanghai, China: Al Fahim Group is proud to announce that Roewe a renowned Chinese automotive brand under SAIC, is now part of its expanding automotive portfolio.

SAIC, one of China's leading automakers, was ranked 93rd on the Fortune Global 500 list in August 2024, further solidifying its position as a global leader in the automotive industry.

Roewe, positioned in the mid-to-premium segment, offers a diverse lineup of vehicles, including sedans, SUVs, hybrids, and electric vehicles (EVs), available in various fuel types such as petrol, internal combustion engine (ICE), dual-mode hybrid (DMH), and full-EV options.

A signing ceremony marking this milestone was held on June 3, 2025, at the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in Shanghai, China. The event was hosted by SAIC, Shanghai Silverstones Automotive Service Co., Ltd. and Al Fahim Group, and was honored by the presence of Muhannad Al Naqbi, Consul General of the UAE in Shanghai.

Several key figures from the respective organisations attended the event. From Al Fahim Group, the distinguished attendees included Ahmed AJ Al Fahim, Chairman; Sampath Kumar, Advisor to the Chairman; and Monzer Al Rifai, Advisor to the Chairman.

Representing SAIC – Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation, Chen, General Manager of SMPV, was present. Additionally, Shanghai Silverstones Automotive Service Co., Ltd. was represented by Zhangwen, General Manager, and Zhangliang, Managing Director for the MENA region.
