Axiom Telecom and Middle East North Africa Financial Network have launched a joint venture to provide mobile phone subscribers in the UAE with real-time wireless financial content in both Arabic and English.
AxiomPlus is the mobile value-added services portal of Axiom Telecom, which is part of Dubai-based Al Bannai Enterprises.
Middle East North Africa Financial Network (MENAFN) is a Delaware-based corporation in the United States with a wholly-owned subsidiary in Amman.
Subscribers will be able to access financial data including live currency exchange rates, live commodity rates, stock prices and indices, among others, MENAFN representatives said.
"Mobile phones technology today is more than making phone calls, with new capabilities and utilities added everyday there is so much more to do," said Al Bannai, AxiomPlus' manager.
"MENAFN Mobile provides financial content that is reliable, comprehensive, up to date, and cost effective," said Zaid Aloul, VP-business development at MENAFN.
"Thousands of mobile subscribers across a number of key countries use our MENAFN mobile services. Our partnership with Axiom Telecom will provide a solid platform for market entry into a strong and vibrant market such as the UAE," Aloul said.
