UAE’s Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has cancelled flights to and from the UAE until June 30, the airline said on Tuesday.
The airline added that it had to divert many of its flights to other airports on Monday evening following the closure of multiple airspaces in the wake of Iran’s strikes on a US base in Qatar.
“The safety and security of our passengers and crew remain our highest priority,” the airline said.
Wizz Air Abu Dhabi’s statement comes moments after Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air announced an identical suspension of flights to the UAE.
“We will keep you informed as the situation evolves,” the carrier said.
