Sharjah Airport

Partial operations resume tonight: Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA) has announced the limited resumption of flights at Sharjah International Airport from tonight. Passengers are urged to confirm departure times with their airlines, as operations will run under a defined schedule. The authority emphasised that safety and smooth service remain top priorities.

Air Arabia has temporarily suspended all flights to and from the UAE until 3:00 pm UAE time on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, with flights to Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, and Iraq suspended until 5 March, due to ongoing regional disruptions.

Limited flights may operate subject to operational and safety approvals; affected passengers will be contacted directly.
Passengers not on operating flights are advised not to travel to the airport unless contacted.

Indian airlines operate relief flights

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Evacuation Cell reported on Tuesday that a small number of flights have departed from Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Dubai World Central (DWC). Access remains strictly controlled, and regular scheduled services continue to be heavily disrupted.

Limited flights resume

The MEA confirmed that while full operations have not yet resumed, limited inbound and outbound flights began on Monday evening.

SpiceJet is operating special flights from Fujairah to Delhi, Mumbai, and Kochi to assist Indian nationals returning home.

Air India welcomed passengers and crew arriving from Dubai at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, marking the first international arrival by an Indian carrier today, with 149 passengers and eight crew members onboard.

IndiGo: 10 flights from Jeddah to India on Tuesday.
SpiceJet: Four special flights from Fujairah to Delhi, Mumbai, and Kochi (including two to Mumbai).

Flight cancellations

On Monday, about 357 flights were cancelled, but operations gradually resumed by evening. The government is coordinating with airlines, airports, regulatory authorities, and the MEA to ensure a safe restoration of services, including extra capacity for stranded passengers.
