UAE delegation visits Australian Civil Aviation Authority
Dubai: A delegation from UAE General Civil Aviation Authority, headed by Laila Ali Bin Hareb, Executive Director of Strategy and International Affairs, paid a visit to the Australian Civil Aviation Authority last week, during which bilateral discussions and exchange of experiences with regard to the passenger security took place. Sameer Kalbouneh, Cheif Corporate Development Specialist, and Fahd Abdul Rahman Al Rais, Senior Executive External Affairs represented GCAA as well. The UAE delegation included representatives from local aviation industry and stakeholders. The visit programme was coordinated by the Australian authorities and included a visit to Sydney Airport and to the Citizenship and Immigration offices at Canberra. The reason behind the selection of the Australian Civil Aviation Authority to conduct the study is due to its expertise in passenger and security management, in addition to the good relations between the two countries.
