Dubai: Saudi Arabia's low-cost carrier flynas has announced the launch of two weekly direct flights between Jeddah and Damascus, starting June 12.

The move follows the airline’s earlier announcement of direct flights between Riyadh and the Syrian capital, set to begin on June 5, as part of its broader regional expansion strategy.

The new routes reflect flynas’ ongoing efforts to enhance connectivity across the Middle East and meet the growing demand for travel between the Kingdom and Syria.

This operational expansion comes at a pivotal moment for flynas, coinciding with its highly anticipated initial public offering (IPO). The airline recently opened its retail subscription period, offering individual investors the opportunity to participate in one of the Kingdom’s most high-profile IPOs in recent years.

The offering follows a record-breaking institutional tranche, which attracted nearly SAR 409 billion ($109 billion) in orders — approximately 100 times oversubscribed — from both local and international investors. flynas has priced the IPO at SAR 80 per share, the upper end of its marketed range, valuing the airline at approximately SAR 13.7 billion ($3.6 billion).flynas
