Gulftainer appoints CEO for international division

The new head will oversee operations in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Lebanon, Turkey, Brazil and the United States

Gulftainer, the Sharjah-headquartered port operator, announced on Wednesday the appointment of a new head for its international operations.

Flemming Dalgaard, a former DP World senior vice president, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of GT International, the international operations division, according to an emailed statement.

Gulftainer’s international operations are in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Lebanon, Turkey, Brazil and the United States, where it recently entered the market with a 35-year concession agreement for Florida’s Canaveral Port Authority.
