Dubai: Emirates will fly a one-off Airbus A380 service from Glasgow Airport in April to celebrate a decade of flights to Scotland, the carrier said in a statement on Wednesday.

Glasgow Airport is set to become the first airport in Scotland to host the superjumbo A380 when the Emirates flight takes off on April 10.

Emirates offers more than 43,000 passenger seats per month to and from Glasgow, and in 2012 the second daily service was upgraded to a Boeing 777.
