Dubai: Emirates Airlines said that its flight from Delhi was delayed following a passenger complaint against a co-passenger.
An Emirates spokesperson released the following statement:
"Emirates confirms that its flight EK511 (Delhi-Dubai) was delayed for 1 hour and 15 minutes after a passenger filed a complaint with the captain against a co-passenger. The captain alerted airport authorities who offloaded the baggage of the passenger in question. Full security procedures were activated and the detained passenger was taken into custody by the CISF.
The flight departed for Dubai at 12:16 pm local time. Emirates cooperated with all local security procedures and regrets any inconvenience caused by the delay.
The safety of our passengers and crew is paramount and will not be compromised."
