Qatar Airways said it was in the process of restoring its global network.
Operations at Doha’s Hamad International Airport are “gradually recovering and returning to normal”, the airport said on Wednesday.
“During this transition, we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the rescheduling of affected flights, and appreciate our passengers understanding and patience,” it added.
Passengers were advised to check the status of their flights with their respective airline and consider completing an online check-in before arriving at the airport.
Qatar Airways, which operates out of Doha, said it was in the process of “restoring our global network of more than 170 destinations and are assisting all affected passengers with rebooking and support as quickly as possible”.
The airline also cautioned of possible disruptions in service until June 26.
“As we manage the resumption of operations, we continue to respond in real time to operational developments, with additional staff deployed at Doha Hamad International Airport and key locations across our network to provide on-the-ground assistance,” the carrier added.
The airline has also given customers will travel dates up to and including June 30 an option to change their travel dates without paying a fee until July 15, 2025.
Alternatively, they can refund the unused value of their tickets without any cancellation fee if they no longer wish to travel.
Qatar Airways had briefly suspended flights as a result of an airspace closure following Iran’s attack on a US base in Qatar as a response to US bombing nuclear facilities in Iran. Qatar was one of the first countries to close their airspace following the strike, along with Bahrain, Kuwait and Iraq. Airspace in Dubai, too, was momentarily closed, the emirate’s media office announced earlier.
