WELLINGTON

Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met the New Zealand Minister of Trade David Parker, as part of an official visit to the country. The ministers discussed means to advance trade and investment ties between the two countries.

Shaikh Abdullah highlighted the UAE’s keenness to further advance bilateral trade and investment between the UAE and New Zealand for the benefit of peoples of the two friendly states. The New Zealand Minister of Trade welcomed Shaikh Abdullah’s visit, highlighting the importance of enhancing partnerships and cooperation with the UAE. He also praised the UAE’s progress and development across a number of sectors, enabling the young nation to occupy a leading position on regional and international levels.

Saleh Ahmad Al Zreem Al Suwaidi, UAE Ambassador to New Zealand, also attended the meeting.
