UAE radars to catch motorists for this offence from April 15

Abu Dhabi: Police in the capital are warning motorists over smart radars that will be installed across Abu Dhabi roads on April 15. 

Brigadier Ahmad Al Shehhi, deputy director of the traffic patrol directorate of Abu Dhabi Police, said that the installation of the smart system will improve road safety, “and will fine vehicles that have an expired registration and that have not been inspected.”

The penalty for driving a vehicle with an expired registration includes a fine of Dh500, four black points, and the car impounded for seven days.

On its official social media accounts, Abu Dhabi Police posted a video of how the smart radars will start monitoring vehicles with an expired registration.
