The terrifying moment a mini crashed through barriers and nearly obliterated two pedestrians has been caught on CCTV.
Dramatic footage released by UK police shows the pair were lucky to escape with their lives after the driver of the car lost control at high speed.

It begins with an everyday scene of two people (circled) walking on a pavement next to a busy road in Manchester, England.
Seconds later the duo react as they see the car coming, just before it enters the camera shot.
Then the mini flies in from the right of the picture, destroying the protective barrier and seemingly putting the pair in mortal danger.
The scene becomes a mess of rubble and mangled fence, with the two pedestrians missing.
And only after the dust settles can we see the pair still standing, and the mini having come to a stop on the other side of the pavement.
