Abu Dhabi: The Mayor of Jeddah Governorate, Saleh bin Ali Al Turki, has launched works on the Al Nawras Island development project, as part of Humanisation of Cities initiative of the Saudi Vision 2030, aimed to improve the quality of life in Jeddah, by raising the per capita share of green spaces and recreational areas and increasing the number of sports practitioners.

The idea of the project was changed from hotel chalets to a public project that welcomes all waterfront visitors and Jeddah residents, and aims to be an ideal tourist destination in the Red Sea city.

Al Nawras Island will be linked to the waterfront and the project extends along the island with a walkway of 25 meters width and a length exceeding 2000 meters in both directions, featuring many restaurants, cafes, recreational and artistic centers.

The project also contains a cinema hall and a marina for boats with galleries, a multi-purpose beach for women, with a health club in addition to the games area, with the provision of multiple entertainment events that suit all segments of society and all age groups.

Its restaurants and facilities will be operated by international franchise companies, and it supports Saudi talents and entrepreneurs.

The project has 25,000 square meters of corridors to the Jeddah Corniche, is expected to welcome more than 3000 guests per hour and has more than 1000 parking spaces.

There will be a cinema complex with an area of more than 3,700 square meters, consisting of six halls with a total capacity of 800 people, restaurants, cafes, an art gallery and recreational facilities, a beach club for women with an area of more than 4,000 square meters, a ballroom and a marina club with an area of more than 4,500 square meters, which can be It accommodates over 1000 guests, a yacht and boat club and berths that can accommodate up to 90 boats.
