Border guards warn smugglers will be dealt with forcefully

Abu Dhabi: Saudi border guards have thwarted an attempt to smuggle in 388,732 amphetamine tablets and 1.125 tonnes of hashish off the coast of Khafji in the Eastern Region, police said.

The narcotics were seized, according to spokesman Lt. Col. Missfir Al Quraini.

Lt. Col. Al Quraini said border guards will confront anyone who tries to undermine or bypass security, and deal with them firmly and forcefully.
