Comprehensive health awareness kit rolled out ahead of Hajj to safeguard global pilgrims
Dubai: As millions prepare for the annual pilgrimage, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health has launched a comprehensive Health Awareness Kit aimed at safeguarding public health during Hajj 1446 AH.
The initiative, aligned with the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Pilgrim Experience Program, seeks to strengthen preventive measures and promote well-being among pilgrims from around the world.
The kit offers essential health guidelines in eight languages—Arabic, English, French, Urdu, Persian, Indonesian, Malay, and Turkish—ensuring accessibility for the diverse global community participating in the pilgrimage.
It provides practical advice on preventing heat-related illnesses, including the use of umbrellas to shield against intense sun exposure and the critical importance of staying hydrated.
In addition to written materials, the kit includes awareness videos, social media content, and printable educational tools designed to encourage safe health practices throughout the pilgrimage. These resources aim to reduce health risks and support a secure, comfortable experience for all participants.
Pilgrims and Hajj workers are encouraged to download and use the kit’s resources to help ensure a healthy and safe pilgrimage season.
