Health alert: Reverse ageing by dancing
According to a study conducted by Queen's University Bel-fast, dancing can actually help reverse the process of ageing and may even improve the health and happiness of the dancer.
In a report in The Times of India, lead researcher Jonathan Skinner said social dancing leads to a continued engagement with life – past, present and future – and holds the promise of successful ageing.
He added that dancing increases longevity and helps a person to enjoy life. It alleviates isolation and helps aches associated with age.

In addition, it brings people together across communities by creating solidarity, tolerance and understanding. The research was conducted among old people living in Northern Ireland, Blackpool and Sacram-ento in the US.
Co-researcher Dr Una Lynch said the study challenges stereotypical images of ageing and highlights the fact that ageing is fun.
