Lead singer of Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, Charles Haddon, dies at Belgian festival
Brussels: Charles Haddon, lead singer of the British pop trio Ou Est Le Swimming Pool has died following a performance at a Belgian rock festival.
Police say the 22-year old climbed to the top of a telecommunications mast behind the main stage and jumped to his death to the parking lot below.
Haddon's death occurred late Friday, during the Pukkelpop festival held in Hasselt, a town in eastern Belgium. Police say they are treating it as a suicide.
On Thursday, Michael Bean, frontman for the US group The Call, died of an apparent heart attack at the same festival.
The 60-year old was working as the soundman for his son's band Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
