Jennnifer Gates, the daughter of Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, married Egyptian American professional equestrian over the weekend at her Westchester County horse farm. The happy 25-year-old had reportedly had a Muslim ceremony on Friday night and a civil one with 300 guests on Saturday in the New York locale.

While Bill posted a photo of the couple looking into each other’s eyes, Melinda uploaded one that showed them walking hand in hand. “What a joy to celebrate the light and love of @jenniferkgates and @nayelnassar this past weekend,” she captioned the post. “So grateful we were able to find a way to safely gather for this special day. ❤.”

Sylvia Weinstock, an iconic US baker and cake decorator, came out of retirement in order to create a floral, six-tier cake for the happy couple. Weinstock, 91, has famously made cakes for stars such as Mariah Carey, Kim Kardashian and Oprah Winfrey.

Nassar, 29, proposed to Gates, during a ski trip in January 2020. She posted a sweet engagement picture that seems to have been taken moments after Nassar popped the question. According to her post, she said “yes a million times over” to the man who “absolutely swept me off my feet”.

Nassar was born in Chicago, Illinois, to millionaire parents, but grew up in Kuwait. His parents owned an architecture and design firm which relocated to the US in 2009. Nassar, holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Stanford University.
