Recently, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, joined some students from Pakistan for a virtual game of Pictionary. A video of this, shared on Kensington Palace’s official Instagram account, went viral and garnered over a million views.
The royal couple had virtually joined students of Islamabad Model College for Girls and the SOS Children’s Village in Lahore to mark the first anniversary of their visit to Pakistan.
The children who interacted with the couple during the video call were part of the group of students they met during their 2019 visit to the country.
The video showed the royal couple playing a game of Pictionary virtually, correctly guessing drawings depicting a birthday, recycling, and cricket.
The couple went on to ask the students and staff about life amid the pandemic.
Middleton spoke to students, asking whether they appreciated being back in school, with friends and teachers, to which a student replied, “Yes, very happy.”
During their game, one of the girls asked the couple if they enjoyed drawing in their spare time. And in response, William revealed his wife to be the far superior artist. "Yes, definitely. We both like a little bit of drawing… Catherine is very good. I am really bad," said William.
The royal couple then spoke to children and staff from the SOS Children's Village in Lahore. William and Kate learned about how the village had come together to help teach children protective measures and combat the spread of COVID-19 through special sessions led by doctors and medical staff.
