The body of a young, up-and-coming model Anam Tanoli, 26, was found hanging inside a room on Saturday night, according to police.
The model's body was found inside her house in the Lahore's upscale Defence neighbourhood. Geo TV and other Pakistani news sites quoted police as saying that she "committed suicide."
The body was shifted to the General Hospital for a post-mortem.
Tanoli, a fashion designer one of the rising stars in the new generation of models in the Pakistani fashion industry, had returned from Italy some two months back.

It is being considered a suicide; police said that they were investigating to rule out foul play.
A statement from the deceased's mother was also recorded, according to Lahore police. Citing the statement, a local Pakistani media reported that Tanoli was "under mental stress" and "had an appointment scheduled for the same day with a therapist".
