Musharraf calls for Parliament to convene on March 17
Islamabad: President Pervez Musharraf has called for Parliament to convene on March 17, following the opposition coalition's landslide victory in last month's elections.
On Sunday, The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) of assassinated opposition leader Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif's PML-N signed a power-sharing deal and also vowed to restore a number of judges deposed by Musharraf after he imposed emergency rule in November last year.
The PPP has said it will announce its candidate for prime minister after Musharraf called the Parliamentary session.
