Karachi: Citizens can now drive-through Karachi Safari Park in their own vehicles.

Karachi’s Administrator Laeeq Ahmed mentioned that a large number of residents of Karachi visited the Safari Park, which spreads over 207 acres, and directed the officials that recreational facilities at the park should be upgraded

He asked the officials to keep more bird species in the bird aviary of the park.

He expressed pleasure that an environment similar to the natural habitat were available to the animals kept at the Safari Park as that was why they had recently given birth to 14 cubs belonging to different species.

He said that Miyawaki technology would be used to grow more forests at the park so to provide natural environment to the wild animals kept there.

The Administrator also went to the Elephant enclosure of the park and saw the male Elephant Sonu and its female companion Malka after social media was abuzz with reports that Malka had developed infection in its feet due to unfavourable environment.

He directed the officials that veterinary doctors should visit Malka so to care of its health in the best possible manner.

He disclosed on the occasion that a public library would also established at the Safari Park with books on wildlife and forests to help out the relevant researchers, students, and scientists.
