Annual Urs of Sufi saint begins in Lahore today
Lahore: Lahore is set to host thousands of devotees from Pakistan and abroad attending the 963rd annual Urs [celebrations] of Ganj Bakhsh Ali Hajveri starting today.
Punjab Governor Khalid Maqbool will inaugurate the three-day Urs of Hazrat Ali Bin Usman Al Hajveri, popularly known as Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh by laying a wreath at the shrine of the Sufi saint.
About 1,500 volunteers have been posted for ensuring security.
The shrine has been decorated with colourful lights.
