Jakarta: Five Indonesian internet companies have been ordered by the government to block the popular YouTube and MySpace sites to stop people watching a controversial anti-Islam film by a Dutch filmmaker.
The film was posted on the web by Geert Wilders, an anti-immigration lawmaker, at the end of March.
The government has said Wilders' film “could disturb relations between faiths."
Indonesia has around 150 Internet Service Providers, and it was not immediately clear if the others would follow suit.
