Dubai: Around nine shots were fired at Kap’s Café – a café recently opened in Surrey, Canada by popular TV personality and comedian Kapil Sharma.

According to reports multiple shots were fired at the café on Wednesday night, fortunately no injuries were reported. Khalistani terrorist Harjit Singh Laddi has taken responsibility for the firing, which happened a few days after its inauguration.

Authorities rushed to the location and investigation is underway.

Reports suggest that Laddi is said to have ordered the shooting as he was offended by an earlier statement made by the comedian. However, there is no official confirmation on the reason for the shooting.

Harjit Singh Laddi is also wanted by the National Investigation Agency for the murder of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Vikas Prabhakar alias Vikas Bagga – who was shot dead in April 2024, reports mentioned.
