Mumbai: Even as Salman Khan’s re-trial in a 2002 hit-and-run case reaches its fag end in the Sessions court, Mumbai Airport police are in a dilemma over a directive by the city suburban court to investigate an incident in which the actor allegedly assaulted an anti-corruption activist on board a domestic flight in November 2014.

Though two days have passed since the Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Andheri, had ordered them to investigate the criminal complaint for assault, intimidation and robbery lodged in the court against the actor by Ravindra Moorat Dwivedi, a member of Brashtchar Nirmoolan Samiti (Committee for eradication of Corruption), the Airport police had as of yesterday not registered a First Information Report (FIR) in the case against Khan.

“Since we have already investigated Dwivedi’s complaint and found that there is no truth in his allegations against the actor, we are not sure whether we will have to investigate the same complaint once again,” Senior Inspector Rajendra Nagbhire said.
