A candid moment between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron at the G7 Summit in Kananaskis, Canada, has taken the internet by storm. The two leaders were seen sharing a warm hug and a hearty laugh, captured in a now-viral video.

In the clip, PM Modi jokingly tells President Macron, "Nowadays, you are also active on Twitter," prompting a chuckle from the French leader. The exchange reflected the friendly rapport between the two, with both visibly enjoying the light-hearted moment.

Following the banter, Macron greeted India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval before sitting down for talks with PM Modi. Macron asked Modi about his arrival, to which the Indian leader replied, "I reached here last night, and before that, I went to Cyprus."

Later, PM Modi shared their interaction on X, praising the strength of the India-France partnership. "Always a delight to interact with my friend President Emmanuel Macron… India and France will keep working closely for the betterment of our planet," he wrote.

PM Modi is attending the G7 Summit, meeting global leaders, including South Africa's President Ramaphosa, Brazil's President Lula, and UK PM Keir Starmer.
