Four killed in Afghan landmine blast

Two Afghan policemen and two civilians were killed by a landmine explosion on Monday in the restive southern province of Helmand, a former Taliban stronghold.

The four were travelling in a car when the mine went off, a provincial official said.

The official also said two Taliban fighters were killed in an overnight clash with security forces in another part of the province.
