U.S. President Donald Trump played a round of golf at his Turnberry resort on the first full day of his visit to Scotland. The visit drew public attention and led to increased security measures in the area, including road closures and police checkpoints, transforming the typically quiet southwest Scotland region into a high-security zone.

President Trump was joined by his son Eric and U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Warren Stephens, for the game. The group played at the historic Turnberry golf course, which the Trump Organisation acquired in 2014. Dressed in black and wearing a white "USA" cap, President Trump was seen driving a golf cart during the outing.

The group appeared to play nine holes before breaking for lunch, and then continued with another nine in the afternoon. Security personnel began to leave the area by mid-afternoon, indicating the conclusion of the game.

Meanwhile, in Edinburgh, around 100 miles (160 kilometres) away, demonstrators gathered outside the U.S. Consulate. The event included speeches and peaceful protests related to current political and trade matters.
