On January 16, Khan was attacked at around 2:30 a.m. when a suspected intruder broke into his residence. The assailant allegedly inflicted six stab wounds on the actor, including one to his neck.
Saif was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery and was stabilized.
After five days of treatment, Khan was discharged from the hospital and returned home to recover.
