Dubai: The monster fog is moving into special appearances as opposed to being the main attraction.
Tonight, the fog will most probably make an appearance. Dr Ahmad Habib, a meteorologist at the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), stated that there won’t be much of a change in the weather tonight as compared to yesterday and the centre is expecting more fog later tonight.
He said: “There is still a chance of fog or mist formation tonight, especially in Abu Dhabi. The temperatures will also be getting cooler as evening sets in. But, there won’t be much change in the minimum temperature through the week.”
Apart from tonight, it’s going to be a chilly week! The NCM expects the temperatures to stay relatively cool through the week and the monster fog will bid us farewell.
Abed Damaj, duty forecaster at the NCM, told Gulf News: “The temperatures are expected to remain steady through the week. By Wednesday it might go down by just 1C or so, but no major changes. However, we are still expecting the fog formation to continue through Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning. it’s still very humid, especially over the seas. As soon as the breeze picks up, during the afternoon, the humidity is pushed to inland. Therefore, there is a good chance for fog formation during the next three days. It will start to get less on Thursday. And after that, we’re not expecting fog to form, at least on the shore. There will be a major change in the winds, which will blow northeasterly at 15-20kph. This will make the atmosphere dry.”
