Sharjah: A dispute between two motorists on a Sharjah road turned violent within moments as they exchanged blows, requiring several other motorists to intervene and stop the fight.

Police patrols rushed to the scene soon after receiving reports of the incident, which had broken out between two Arab nationals at a roundabout.

Both parties were summoned, their statements were taken, and the case was referred to the public prosecution.

Brigadier General Ibrahim Musabah Al Ajel, Director General of the Comprehensive Police Stations Department, stated: “Sharjah Police deal firmly with such behavior, which does not reflect the values of our community,” emphasizing the importance of self-restraint, awareness in daily situations, and avoiding negative reactions.

He also stressed the need to avoid filming such incidents and sharing them on social media, confirming that recording and posting such content is punishable by law. Such materials should be submitted directly to the relevant authorities for appropriate action, he urged.

Sharjah Police also reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining security and stability, urging everyone to cooperate and participate positively in fostering a safe environment for all. The public is also encouraged to report any wrongful or illegal behavior via the non-emergency number 901, which is dedicated to receiving general inquiries and non-urgent reports.
