New Delhi: As many as 139 Yemeni patients reached in Delhi in two batches in April and last week for medical treatment as part of the UAE’s extensive humanitarian mission to provide treatment for 1,500 Yemenis.
This major mission undertaken by the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) complements the UAE’s efforts in Yemen to offer immediate and efficient medical services to the injured Yemenis. The UAE government has already sent several medical and rescue vehicles to Yemen to step up those relief efforts.
The ERC is bearing the costs of medical treatment in Delhi in collaboration with the VPS Healthcare Group that runs three hospitals there. The UAE Embassy in New Delhi is regularly following up the well-being of the patients.
President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, ordered to undertake the mission, which have been followed up by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and chairman of the ERC.
