UAE traffic alert: Partial closure announced on Madinat Zayed - Al Dhafra road

Dubai: The Abu Dhabi Mobility (AD Mobility) has announced a significant, multi-day partial road closure affecting one of the key routes in the Al Dhafra region, requiring motorists to plan their journeys well in advance.

The closure affects intersections along Sheikha Salama Bint Butti Road (E45) in Madinat Zayed. According to the announcement, the partial closure of intersections on this crucial artery is scheduled to begin at midnight on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 (12:00 AM) and will remain in effect for 11 days, concluding on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at 5:00 AM.

This temporary restriction is being implemented to facilitate essential maintenance and improvement works as part of the Emirate's ongoing efforts to enhance road infrastructure and traffic efficiency across all regions.

To ensure public safety and minimise traffic disruption during the extensive maintenance period, AD Mobility has issued a strong advisory to all drivers. Motorists travelling through or within Madinat Zayed are urged to drive with utmost caution, strictly adhere to all posted speed limits, and comply with the traffic control measures and directional signs installed around the construction zones.

Furthermore, commuters must plan their trips early and consider using available alternative routes to avoid potential bottlenecks and delays, especially during peak travel times.
