Sharjah police officer injured in car accident

Sharjah: A Sharjah Police officer was injured after being hit by a vehicle as he was helping a motorist on Wednesday.

The officer had stepped out of his official car to assist the man, whose car had broken down on Al Dhaid-Airport road.

The incident took place at 6.30pm.

The officer was standing beside his police car when he was hit by a speeding vehicle.

The officer was transferred to the hospital for treatment.
