Dubai: A total lunar eclipse will occur on the night of March 13 into March 14, where the Moon will pass through Earth’s shadow, turning a deep red in what is commonly known as a “Blood Moon”, according to the Dubai Astronomy Group (DAG).

“Unfortunately, this celestial event will not be visible from the UAE, but skywatchers can still experience it through a live broadcast on Time and Date’s YouTube channel,” it said.

Where is it visible?

DAG said the total eclipse will be visible across North & South America (Best visibility), Western Europe, Western Africa and parts of the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans

A partial eclipse will be visible in other parts of Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia.

However, Dubai and the UAE will not be in the visibility range for any part of the eclipse.
