National Human Resources entered into a strategic alliance yesterday with Nicholson International to help develop its services.
The tie-up allows Nicholson International, a top global executive search and people management consultancy group, to strengthen the Human Resource's programme of developing the skills of nationals and recruiting quality staff for government agencies and private companies.
Announcing the new partnership, Mohammed Mubarak, President of National Human Resources, said that his organisation would benefit from the arrangement.
National Human Resource's reputation as a leading home-grown training and placement organisation and Nicholson International's global experience would combine to give clients a full system of recruitment, management and development of staff.
The arrangement, the first of its kind between a UAE organisation and an international recruiting consultant, reflects increasing demand for quality and dedicated staff in the Gulf workforce, Mubarak said.
"To meet this demand, National Human Resources plans to open branches in other Gulf countries step by step, starting next year in Saudi Arabia because Nicholson International has an office there, then Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait and Qatar."
National Human Resources received more than 4,000 applications from job seekers and around 20 per cent of them were placed since the firm's establishment in 1997, he said.
These numbers will increase as a result of the establishment next month of the National Manpower Employment and Training Authority, called Tanmiya, to be chaired by Matar Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of Labour and Social Affairs.
Tanmiya will promote emiratisation in all private companies and National Human Resouces will participate in this.
Graham Thomas, Managing Director of Nicholson International Middle East, said that his regional team would be closely involved in developing recruitment and staff development systems at National Human Resources with special focus on the need to enhance the skills of nationals.
National Human Resources focuses on placing nationals in the private sector. It has an extensive database of nationals seeking employment, enabling them to find suitable candidates for local and multinational companies.
