DUBAI: The Ministry of Health on Saturday stressed that Panadol Baby & Infant Suspension is safe and said that no warning about the medicine was issued by it or by the manufacturing company.

It was responding to claims circulating on social media that the product was not safe.

Amin Hussain Al Amiri, Under-Secretary of Public Health Policy and Licensing at the Ministry of Health and Prevention, and chairman of the Supreme Committee for Pharmaceutical Vigilance, noted that the incorrect and information and warnings about medical products were published by fear-mongering and bad-intentioned people.

This, he added, could mislead patients into stopping to use prescribed medicines and exposing them to serious health risks.

Al Amiri urged the public to contact the ministry via the email  or the webpage  to get any information about the safety of health and medical products in the UAE and any relevant announcements.
