More than 35 doctors, nurses and technicians have completed a four-day course on how to attend to diabetics and teach them to take care of their condition.

The course was held at the Preventative Medicine Department. Lectures and practical classes were conducted by Bassam Abi Saab, deputy director for Technical Affairs at the Central Health Education Department of the Ministry of Health. Abi Saab said the trained staff will work as a team to raise awareness throughout the year.

They will also train small groups of nurses, association volunteers and parents of diabetics.
